What Minor Arcana are
Minor Arcana describe situations and processes at daily scale. A major may mark a life stage; a minor shows how it is lived in detail.
Mastering them is essential for complete readings. The advanced course centres on minors and combinations with majors.
The four tarot suits
Four suits with symbolic tone: Wands (action), Cups (emotion), Swords (mind), Pentacles (materiality).
- Wands — fire, action, initiative
- Cups — water, emotion, relationships
- Swords — air, mind, decisions
- Pentacles — earth, body, material stability
Numbers and court cards
Each suit has Ace through Ten plus Page, Knight, Queen and King. Numbers show intensity and phase; courts show roles and attitudes.
Study one suit at a time to avoid overload.
Differences from Major Arcana
Majors signal deep purpose; minors show how and with what nuance. A spread may show transformation (major) plus concrete fears or supports (minors).
